My Story

This is where it all started, Wicken Cottage. Our home and base of the Wickenwood workshop.

My name is Paul Crane, I've been woodworking for over 15 years. The majority of my projects have been building furniture, but I have also used my skills to build other commissions.  I have a keen eye for detail, priding myself on the final finish of a piece but what I enjoy most is seeing a customer enjoy, then use what I build.

Connecting with customers

I understand that each customer has unique needs and preferences when it comes to furniture. It's really important to me that I connect with my customers. That's why I take a personalised approach to every project worked on. Listening carefully to your needs allows me to create a custom furniture piece that is tailored to your specific requirements.

Why bespoke?

Often when looking at options to furnish our homes we head straight to Pinterest, home design magazines or social media for ideas.

Finding where, or how a piece was produced can be a challenge, more importantly, is it exactly right?  A combination of what you want and how you want it is why people head to bespoke design.

The Process

Once I fully understand your requirements; style, design and finish, I will provide a quote, this will include materials and labour breakdown.

Whilst various factors can affect timeframe, typically builds are completed within 4 to 6 weeks - dependant on existing build schedule.
